Pre-School Room
This room is situated next to the Toddler Room giving good access for transition. It is measured for 16 children and staffed by qualified members of staff who have experience with this age range.
Children in this room are aged from 36 – 60 months. Planning is based on children’s interests and learning styles as well as preparing children for the transition to School. We operate child led learning and introduce new concepts and experiences based on children’s interests ‘in the moment’. Sessions on letters and sounds are held in this room. This room has direct access to the Outdoor Play Area.
During the summer term before Children start school, they will receive regular visits to Thurgoland School as well as going for special occasions like the Nativity or Assembly which will support all the children moving over to School so they have a good and easy transition.
Toddlers at age 2 are charged at the Yellow Rate and from their 3rd Birthday at the Green Rate regardless of the room they spend time in.
