Do you have a few spare hours every 3 months?
Would you like to support your local nursery?
We need 2 new directors/trustees and would love some new parents to join the team, we meet approximately every 3 months for a few hours the time is agreed with everyone to suit individuals needs.
As a local charity (non-profit) nursery, Thurgoland Childcare, welcomes the time, expertise and skills of individuals within the community and parents/family members of children attending the nursery willing to volunteer.
Thurgoland Childcare is run by a voluntary board of Directors, made up of parents and is operated as a charitable organisation. This means fees, external funding and the results of our fundraising go directly back into the facility – so our children benefit. It is a requirement for the nursery to keep running that we have a board of directors in place.
A wide range of opportunities are on offer for anyone who may wish to volunteer within our nursery, so if you would like to try your hand at something new why not give volunteering a go.
If you are interested in assisting us by volunteering your time and skills, then here are just a few examples of activities available at Thurgoland Childcare:
- Helping to plan and organise Fundraising events,
- Assisting with the organisation of children’s social events/parties (Halloween, Christmas),
- Support with further development of the nursery the directors/management meet every 8 to 12 weeks.
- Enjoy being part of a small team and helping with specific projects.
We greatly welcome new members with fresh ideas and a few hours to spare every 3 months. If you would like more information please contact Kerry Marshall (Nursery Manager) for more information on 0114 2883848 or email thurgolandnursery@yahoo.co.uk
