Contracts & Hours<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\r\n

For your convenience and to enable flexibility in provision, there are various sessions available on either a term time or 50-week contract.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Session times and fees vary according to the age of your child.\u00a0\u00a0Currently in the <\/span>Baby Room (0-2 years) <\/span><\/strong>we\u00a0 offer Full days from 7.30 am to 6.00 pm and have recently added a shorter day for babies of 8.30-3.30 pm for a small number of places in the baby room.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

In both the Toddler Room (2 years)<\/span> <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span>\u00a0and<\/span>\u00a0Pre School Room (3-4 years)<\/span>\u00a0 <\/strong>we offer either full days (7.30 am – 6.00 pm) or school hours (8.45 am – 3.15 pm) with an option to either add a breakfast session (7.30 am – 8.45 am) or an after school session (3.15 pm – 6.00 pm) subject to availability, to suit your circumstances.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

You have an option to choose for your child to attend Nursery 50 weeks<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>o<\/span>f the year or Term Time<\/span>.<\/strong>\u00a0 More detailed information comparing the two types of Contract are given in the Parent\/Carer Contract<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0but a brief outline is given below.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Term Time Contracts<\/span> <\/strong>are usually for 38 weeks of the year (but can be longer dependent upon when Easter falls)\u00a0 – please see the term dates<\/a><\/strong> as agreed by BMBC.\u00a0 This contract means that you will be required to pay as normal for all sessions\/fees booked during term time regardless of whether or not your child attends nursery, for example if they are ill or you chose for them not to attend Nursery for any reason.\u00a0 This will retain their place at Nursery.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\n<\/span><\/p>\r\n

There is no holiday entitlement and you will not be charged for School Holidays unless you specifically request additional sessions with the Nursery Manager.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n

50 Week Contracts<\/span> <\/strong>mean that you will be required to pay for all sessions booked (minimum 50 weeks per year \u2013 we are just closed in the Christmas Holidays unless the year is longer due to when Easter falls) regardless of whether or not your child attends Nursery, eg if they are ill or you chose for them not to attend for any reason.\u00a0\u00a0 This will retain their place at Nursery.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\n<\/span><\/p>\r\n

On this contract your child will be entitled to one weeks’ holiday equal to the usual days they attend nursery.\u00a0 This entitlement will be pro rata for the first year dependent upon when they start at Nursery.\u00a0 \u00a0The holiday year runs from the 1st<\/sup> September to 31st<\/sup> August and you are required to give 8 weeks\u2019 notice of any holidays you wish to take.\u00a0 Otherwise you will be charged in full.\u00a0 Any holidays not taken at the 31st<\/sup> August will be lost and your entitlement will start again from the 1st<\/sup> September.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

For funded children on a 50 week contract, we would automatically stretch your funding so that your payments would be the same for each week of the year.\u00a0 \u00a0Please see the Funding pages for more information.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Please note<\/span><\/strong><\/span> for either contract, eight weeks’ notice<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0needs to be given to change or cancel any sessions.\u00a0 This should be done by email to the Nursery Manager at thurgolandnursery@yahoo.co.uk<\/a><\/strong>who will confirm if the change can be accommodated and the date the change will take effect.\u00a0 \u00a0Please see more detailed information on the terms of each contract in the Parent\/Carer Contract<\/a>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n

The Nursery will be closed on Bank Holidays and you will not be charged for these days.<\/span><\/p>\r\n
